Suggested Giza Pyramids Tour
Giza Pyramids slow paced experience
Start your day relaxed exploring one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
The tour will start with a historical interesting explanation about the history of the pyramids in general and about the site of Giza Pyramids in specific, then you will start a morning walk by the pyramids with our guide for a complete immersing experience.
Complete your Giza pyramids visit with the panoramic view of the 3 pyramids followed by a stop to see the famous sphinx.
After Giza Pyramids visit, enjoy lunch then sail the Nile on a relaxing complimentary Falouka sail boat (if weather permits).
Why a slow paced experience?
A visit to a Giza pyramids is one in a lifetime dream..
From our long years of experience in cultural tourism in Egypt, we found that the best way to visit Giza Pyramids is to dedicate a full day only to Giza Pyramids site with adding a light visit beside it.
You are mainly here because of Giza Pyramids.. why rush it?!!
The reasons for that:
- Giza Pyramids are very far from the rest of the sites, you take a long time in traffic (and Cairo traffic can be very painful sometimes)
- The site is usually crowded and it takes a long time most of the time to just get into the site during high season. Once you are in the site our expert tour guide will help you to stay far from the crowd as much as possible.
- It’s a wonderful experience to walk by the pyramids (especially on good weather days). We try to include this whenever it’s possible.
If you have more than one site per day, it’s difficult to get the full experience. - You have time to try nice restaurants and food places.
We recommend 1 or 2 of the following options to be added to the day:
- Stop at the historical Mena House to enjoy a a drink, lunch or brunch with the pyramids view
- Breakfast or lunch at 9 Pyramids lounge inside Giza Pyramids site
- Breakfast or lunch at Khufu restaurant inside Giza Pyramids site
- Lunch in town in a Lebanese restaurant
- Lunch/drink in Zamalek
Kindly note that above are only suggestions and the final choice is yours. Kindly update our operation team with your choices in order to do the needed arrangements.
Alternative options:
- Giza Pyramids & Sakkara highlights
- Giza Pyramids & Civilization museum
- Giza Pyramids & short visit to Khan Khalili market
Alternative options are doable.. but it can be an exhausting long day.
The slow paced experience is our top recommendation.
The reason that above options are not recommended that it will be a packed day and one of the sites will be rushed. It’s not impossible to do it.. still doable. Only not recommended as there is a better way to do it. We are caring for the best experience for you. At the end, it’s your call.
For Giza & Khan Khalili, we recommend this tour if you have 1 day in Cairo.
If you have more than one day, we suggest to do Khan Khalili with Muezz street as it can be very hectic if you do both on same day (Specially if both places are crowded)
Shorter version:
We also can provide a shorter version of Giza Pyramids tour, if you are short on time. You will need minimum an hour/ an hour & half in the site (excluding driving time). Half day tour to Giza Pyramids is usually 3 to 4 hours total including driving time. The shorter version is mainly a photo stop tour. This option is not recommended unless you are short on time.
